The District has met all conditions to regain compliance with TCEQ. Please see the Rescinded Boil Water Notice on the Public Notice section of our website. You can resume using the tap water as you normally would. The water is safe to drink. Customers in Palm Park are still under a Boil Water Notice. We have taken samples to the lab and expect to be able to rescind the notice tomorrow morning. Thank you for your patience through this unprecedented situation.

AT&T is still working on restoring our phone lines. Please follow us on twitter @EastCentralSUD

Due to the unprecedented demand and the electrical outages, wholesale suppliers in and around Bexar County have been unable to produce and distribute water. Customers could experience little to no water pressure until the electrical grid stabilizes and water plants can resume operations. Please turn off any irrigation systems and cease non-critical water uses until the system pressure can normalize. Phone lines to the office have also been down. We appreciate your patience as we try to navigate this unprecedented situation.

End of Message.

Coronavirus Information Update

March 16, 2020
We wanted to take this time to inform the customers of what the District is doing to monitor and prepare for the effects of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The Environmental Protection Agency and the Center for Disease Control has informed the public that there has been no detection of the virus in drinking water and the risk to water supplies is low. The District purchases water from Canyon Regional Water Authority and San Antonio Water System, which meets or exceeds all State requirements on disinfection. The EPA and CDC have determined that the current treatment standards being used by Public Water Systems are effective in removing or inactivating the virus in the event it did enter the drinking water.

Out of an abundance of caution, East Central Special Utility District is closing its lobby to the public effective March 18, 2020. The District will continue all other operations as normal.

Please refer to the list below for alternative payment and communication methods. We know this is an inconvenience, but the health of our staff and customers is of the utmost importance. We will post an update at the office and on the website when the lobby has been reopened.
